  • PROJECTS:
  • Managed predevelopment entitlements for Station Park, a 65 acre, 800,000 SF Lifestyle Center in Farmington, Utah.  The project is located in a transit-oriented district (TOD) adjacent to a new light rail line that runs north/south through the Salt Lake City Metro Area.  Entitlements included modification of an existing TIF, zoning approvals, land use allowances, preliminary site plan approvals, and design and signage guidelines. Station Park was a ground-up, raw land project and had a variety of challenges to be dealt with, including gas pipeline easements, abandoned water wells and soil contamination. Responsibility for the project extended through 50% design development drawings. Managed extensive documentation for investment approval/certification for our investment partner, California Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS).

  • LEED Feasibility Analysis:  Developed an RFP and selected LEED consultants to provide feasibility analysis on mixed-use retail projects ranging from 500K - 800K SF.  Analyzed alternatives to obtain LEED certification, and drafted and negotiated a contract for LEED project services. Obtained LEED AP designation in 2009.
  • Developed a business plan to secure investor support for investing in existing grocery anchored centers and ground up opportunities.  Managed a market research firm that conducted a macro analysis of the Seattle metro area and identified potential underserved areas for grocery-anchored developments.  Built rapport with grocery tenant representatives, commercial developers, municipalities and community liaisons to support ground-up development opportunities and shopping center acquisitions.
